Roses blackspot, you can control it!

If your roses at home have some blackspot which is consider as fungus disease that appears as round, then do not be disappointed because you can still save your roses but you have to follow the following tips. How?

  • Avoid watering the foliage and be sure to water only the lower part of the plants. Rose needs at least 4 - 6 hours of sunlight and be sure it has enough. Planting it to some shady area is not healthy and susceptible to some diseases.

  • Remove as soon as possible all the infected leaves and pick-up all those leaves that had been fallen. It is not a good idea to let those leaves dried up and just leave it because the disease can be transmitted by other healthy rose through watering. Do not decompose those leaves to make organic fertilizer, throw or burn it.

  • Use a solution of baking soda (1 tsp baking soda plus 1 liter water) to be sprayed early in the morning to some affected leaves. Cornmeal can help also to prevent the blackspot disease by spreading it near the plant base. A solution of Epsom salt can help also by spraying it at least twice a week until you see some improvement.

  • If you enjoy drinking brewed coffee then do not just throw the used powder, you can add some water and just pour it to the affected leaves. After several days you can see some changes.

be a humble person!

Nowadays, it is really hard to find a humble person but somehow we could learn to be one and it should be our attitude. How?

  • Be modest. Do not think that you are a better person than others specially to your spouse.

  • Do not try to shame other feelings and avoid negative comments just to criticize someone.

  • Do not let your pride to rule your personality. Accept some mistakes and be ready to some suggestions that will change your character positively.

  • Get some wisdom from our dear Lord through reading the Bible.

  • Surrender your life to Him, your heartache, your sufferings, your negative thoughts that hinders your capability to be humble.

  • Learn to apply the word 'LOVE one another' and not just say it.

  • Admit mistakes and avoid doing it again. Try to acknowledge your fault.

  • Be simple.

  • Do not think of yourself only. Selfishness is the brother of being prideful. Think less of yourself.
Lowliness is the base of every virtue and he who goes the lowest builds the safest. - Philip James Bailey

you shout! do you care?

I just read that shouting is healthy specially for a women. Do you know that women who have the ability to be silent all the time even there are some problems at home could experience 4 times the risk of dying compared with women who voice out their feelings. It was found out that the stress hormone levels of those women who keep their problem inside their heart rather than letting it out or shout it out could be the most affected part of their body. However, men who has no control of their temper has a greater risk of having a stroke. So, to all men at home, like me ha ha ha, control your temper! The moral lesson is 'be constructive in expressing your feelings'. How? Click here. (picture courtesy of Flickr)
