God's right timing

Have you been upset and frustrated when God is not answering your prayer and even wondering how come He is not doing something for quite long? Because we do not understand God's timing. Here are some tips on how to be stressed out and deal with the problem of WAITING.

  • Keep in mind that God is in control of everything and He is planning for the perfect time.

  • Wait with good attitude and expectancy.

  • Be positive. Knowing that God has great things in store.

  • Do not be upset, frustrated and always avoid the attitude of complaining.

  • If you know that it is worth waiting for then enjoy your life while waiting for the right time.

  • Be happy while God is processing things.

  • Relax and enjoy your lives.

  • Do not struggle and figure everything out. Do not wonder why something is not happening according to your plan.

  • Rest and trust God.

  • If you are not seeing God in your plan then think the two possibilities: 1) your requests may not be God's best or 2) it is not the right time

  • God is working to a certain situation that is connected to your prayer. You might be ready but the person involve to your plan is not.

  • Do not try to force to open all doors and make things happen using your own strength.

  • Be patient and let God bring His plan. Never stop praying.

'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a FUTURE.' Jeremiah 29:11

Intimacy with someone you love!

Are you searching for an intimacy with someone and this someone is not just a normal person but your spouse? Then do not be disappointed if you are not feeling it any more because it can be solved. How? (Picture courtesy of Flickr)
  • Do not expect too much. Do not expect your spouse to be home on time or at certain time of dinner. Do not expect that she or he will say 'I LOVE YOU' every day, every month or every time that you expect it. Expecting too much will only cause discouragement and despair if the outcome is not according to your 'BIG EXPECTATIONS'.
  • Deal with the disconnectedness that keeps far from your spouse. This is your responsibility. Not the other person but yourself. Have the first move. Swallow some ego behind the relationship. Being proud and thinking only yourself is not healthy for you to have intimacy. Do not forget to say 'SORRY' if you really mean it. It may not be as easy as you think but it can save intimacy.
  • Do not define intimacy as what it looks and feels like. Trying to compare your relationship to others could only have disappointment. Always think that every person and relationship is unique - emotionally, intellectually or spiritually.
  • Do not be motivated by what your spouse can do for you but rather have a desire to do what you can for him/her. Your role is to please first your spouse before anybody else.
  • Avoid perfection. There is no such as perfect relationship or perfect spouse. It is better to have an attitude of acceptance, being ready to deal the weakness of other person.
  • Be loyal and avoid cheating on your spouse. Do not use the relationship for your own benefit.
  • Have a loving communication. Establish a regular patterns of communication with your spouse. Neglecting to ask even if it is a slight decision that has to be consulted may affect intimacy at home. Be open but not sarcastic.
Do not abandon the process. Faithfulness is the key. Stay and be connected to him/her. It will deepen your relationship and the reward is intimacy.

be a humble person!

Nowadays, it is really hard to find a humble person but somehow we could learn to be one and it should be our attitude. How?

  • Be modest. Do not think that you are a better person than others specially to your spouse.

  • Do not try to shame other feelings and avoid negative comments just to criticize someone.

  • Do not let your pride to rule your personality. Accept some mistakes and be ready to some suggestions that will change your character positively.

  • Get some wisdom from our dear Lord through reading the Bible.

  • Surrender your life to Him, your heartache, your sufferings, your negative thoughts that hinders your capability to be humble.

  • Learn to apply the word 'LOVE one another' and not just say it.

  • Admit mistakes and avoid doing it again. Try to acknowledge your fault.

  • Be simple.

  • Do not think of yourself only. Selfishness is the brother of being prideful. Think less of yourself.
Lowliness is the base of every virtue and he who goes the lowest builds the safest. - Philip James Bailey

you shout! do you care?

I just read that shouting is healthy specially for a women. Do you know that women who have the ability to be silent all the time even there are some problems at home could experience 4 times the risk of dying compared with women who voice out their feelings. It was found out that the stress hormone levels of those women who keep their problem inside their heart rather than letting it out or shout it out could be the most affected part of their body. However, men who has no control of their temper has a greater risk of having a stroke. So, to all men at home, like me ha ha ha, control your temper! The moral lesson is 'be constructive in expressing your feelings'. How? Click here. (picture courtesy of Flickr)

Tongue can hurt someone!

Did you ever experience to be bitten by some ants and it really hurt you so much. The worsts part is sometimes it will cause a severe pain and the stings can cause itching for several day and can potentially become infected. How come such a small ants could cause so much pain? That is also the same to our 'small words at home' sometimes it can cause pain to our family specially to our kids. What are those? (Picture courtesy of Flickr)

  • Shut up!
  • Shit!
  • Stupid!
  • Out!
  • Fool!
  • Idiot!
  • Silly!
And then you can see some tears because it really hurt. Hurt that could ruin your relationship with them. It is just a 'small words' but could cause so much pain.

  • A careless word may kindle strife,
  • A cruel word may wreck a life,
  • A timely word may lessen stress,
  • A loving word may heal and bless. - Anon

some reasons why your wife is furious!

Did you ever ask yourself, how come your wife is so silent but hiding the angriness inside herself or sometimes shouting her mad feeling? Don't be so blind of some small things that will hurt your wife's feelings. What are those? And how to avoid it?
  • Negative Criticism - before expressing it, understand first what you are talking about. Be specific and give some valid examples. Avoid to use the word 'never' or 'always' because it will only encourage argument. Do not criticize your wife around unpleasant environment like in front of your children, with friends or with parents-in-law. Be positive when criticizing like 'Hey honey that is a new recipe right? Wow, next time reduce the salt ok.' Never say 'Hey honey, you can not really cook!It is always salty.!'
  • Acting like a KING - means you are the BOSS at home and really does not care about the ideas of other person not even your wife. Marriage is all about partnership, it is not a good principle in mind that man has more say at home than a woman. It is not a question of who is earning more but who has a better solution to some problems at home. Always think that a KING should respect a QUEEN and threat her like a precious gold and not just a servant.

  • Help - and not just sit at home. Who is cooking at home? Who is cleaning? Who is responsible for kids assignment? And lot of WHO? If most of the answer is 'my wife' then I want to say 'WAKE-UP' because you are not a good husband!

  • Budget - your finances at home. Do not buy something that is not really needed. Prioritize first you family's need before your own desires. Do not forget to ask your wife if you like something because she might have other financial goals.

  • Sex stupid- means lack of knowledge in giving full satisfaction or orgasm. Do not be selfish in bed. Always think that it is like your first night or your honeymoon and do not say negative comment that will ruin the intimacy. Try to be open and ask your wife what she likes and dislikes in bed. Do not force your wife to do something that will make her uncomfortable in bed!

  • DO NOT FORGET TO SAY 'I LOVE YOU' AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK!

How to handle your PATIENCE?

Are you a Dad that really can not wait or hate delays or easily frustrated for something that is sometimes unreasonable to be impatient? Then you are not alone (he he he). I don't know if it is really hereditary or someone acquire it from the environment. What I only know is being impatient is not a good example to our kids, friends and also to HIM. If it is also your struggle then I have some tips that might help or even lessen the difficulty.

  1. Avoid STRESS - do not accomplish a certain task or act too much as if it will be the end of the world. Prioritize the things to be done at home. You are not a robot that could do everything or anything. If you can see some problems at home like something to be repaired or the lawn has to be cut or cook some food for the kids then do not be stressed. Prioritizing some task at home is the only solution to avoid it.
  2. Weigh the PROS and CONS - try to asses the situation first. You must have the ability to see the big PICTURE. Ask yourself WHY first. Do not blurt out first because the consequences might be negative. Pause and think for what you want to say, to avoid hurting or offending someone.
  3. Be COMPASSIONATE - learn to take responsibility for other feeling and well-being. If you have compassionate heart then you have the ability to help those people who are in pain.
  4. Learn the PROCESS - doing something at home is a process. Sometimes it needs much time to accomplish. Do not have this attitude of 'rush rush rush'. It will only ruin your nice day with your kids and wife. Slow down!
  5. WAIT - it is about having FAITH, be patient and believing in your goals. Let go of the disbelief and doubt in achieving your goal.
HE will support and always there to help achieve the things you desire.
BE PATIENT!
